What is Your Angelic Story?

Please share the story that comes from your internal voice. The one that has given you hints as to your special angelic qualities and reasons to be here on earth.

Let me begin with what I believe is my special story. We all have one.

My mother tells me the story of my own birth. When my mother and father were preparing to move the family from detroit Michigan to the west coast, to the city of angels, a surprise shocked them both. She was pregnant. It had been six years since her last child and they were moving acrosss the country with four children and no job lined up. And when they were to arrive in L.A. there would be five children.

She tells me how she prayed and prayed for guidance and for protection. Then she received a vision. In her dream state, she was asking God for help when a light beemed down from the heavens and pierced her belly, calming her  with the confidence that this child was a blessing.  My parents arrived in the city of Angels in the early 60s were I was born.

From the beginning of my physical memory, events in my life have presented themselves  as angelic events.  Los Angeles is said to be where the few remaining souls of lemuria came, to carry on the messages of the golden age and where the souls of those brought here to help change the planet were fed this energy.  Then, as a baby under a canopy  on dry sand, I was washed out of my mothers arms by a freak wave and was lost in the ocean water until the wave resided, found tucked into a small sand reef. This was  a powerful memory for me as  a strange transformative experience.

In other timelines, spiritual masters speak of the year1989 as a time when the lightworkers who were living on earth, had to make a choice to follow through with their true path. 1989 happened to be the time in my life when I did just that. Without any knowledge of these timelines of  awakening, I knew something was not right in my life and I made a conscious decision to follow a different path. I was not sure exactly what it was, but I left everything that was in my life and started a new.

During this 1989 timeline I moved through a two-year process. I relate it to the Book of Job, everything was taken away slowly and completely. From physical attachments to the core of my understanding of life. I had many transformative experiences clearing my entire energy field and awakening a new existence.  At the time, I was living in Arizona and was led to spiritual teachers of  Native American tribes. This was also the time I began my training in natural healing.  In retrospect, it was simply a process to steer me clear of the programming fed to society, and return to the natural childlike wonder I knew within, was the way.

I steered clear of the path sold through the media, instead, trusting my higher power and emotion of total happiness.  Yoga and manual therapies became my tools for teaching and sharing with others. These  tools helped me lead others into awareness of their own creative powers of happiness. I did not  intend to be a yoga teacher. But today it has become my life.  Through this medium, I support the vibrational frequencies of harmony and joy on the planet.  I see the oneness of our hearts and ability to transform the world through that central power of our hearts.

This is my angelic story, what’s yours?

Please share  your words of  wisdom and happiness.

I have only recently happened upon the practice of yoga. If we are speaking technically, I suppose it has been about seven months since I began.

I was always curious about yoga but never really understood the importance of it, that is until I went to my first class with Doug. Not only did the postures resonate with what my body was aching for but there something about Doug s words and energy that I found soothing to my soul.

This past year I completed a life long goal of running a marathon. And while everyone around me assumed I was going to be “hooked” and continue running after the race I found myself relieved to be done and weary from such singular focus. I wanted to slow down, I did not want to constantly be living for “goals.” So I decided to explore yoga.

When I started practicing yoga with Doug I was struggling to keep my mind from running wild. It was pulling me in so many directions that I never seemed to be able to find rest. Yoga has given me the space to find balance in the presence of tension. It brings my thoughts into my body and allows me to let go of everything, well mostly everything, around me.

I not only have learned about yoga poses from Doug but I have learned so much about life through his stories and life’s journey. Just recently he was sharing about how we should not be so worried about finding teachers but rather understand that when the student is ready, the teacher will come.

I am thankful that Doug has been a teacher to me. I am thankful that I was ready to be a student. He has introduced me to a practice that I hope to continue for the rest of my life.

Thanks Doug. I am forever grateful.
